Marek Orszulik was born in 1984 and began learning the guitar at the age of nine. He gained a dual honours degree in Biological & Medicinal Chemistry and Music from Keele University in July 2005. He was also awarded a performance diploma on the guitar in 2004 and was selected to perform Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez with the university orchestra in 2005. He continued his studies on the classical guitar with Mark Ashford at the Birmingham Conservatoire, completing his M.Mus degree in June 2007. He has taken part in masterclasses with some of the World's best guitarists including Gerald Garcia, Robert Brightmore, Graham Devine, Masayuki Kato and Roberto Aussel. He has performed as a soloist and in ensemble throughout the UK and at the recent Guitar Festival on Valletta in Malta.
