Kathy is a freelance opera singer and singing teacher/coach. She is currently singing with the English National Opera Chorus at the Coliseum in London, and this season she will sing in productions of The Passenger (Wienberg) and Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky). Kathy worked with Opera North (2007–08) and in 2008–09 with English National Opera chorus. Most recent roles include Frau Schulz in the rarely performed Mendelssohn opera Heimkehr aus Der Fremde (The Homecoming) for Ryedale Festival (Yorks) and Grimeborn Festival (London); the French mother in Yoshi Oida's acclaimed production of Death in Venice at the Aldeburgh Festival, and Allure in Benedict Mason's Playing Away, directed by David Pountney, at the Bregenz Festival in Austria. Kathy was a member of the D’Oyly Carte opera company, at the Savoy Theatre in London's West End, where she appeared in Iolanthe, Yeoman of the Guard and HMS Pinafore. She has also appeared many times with the G & S Company at Buxton Opera House.

Kathy also works as a singing teacher, currently employed as ‘West End Vocal Coach’ at the Advanced Performers Studio at the Riverside Studios in London where she prepares professional performers vocally for a career in the west end and on tour. She has previously taught at GSA Conservatoire and other well-established performing arts institutions. She has a busy private practice in London working with professional singers and actors, as well as seasoned amateurs. Many of her students have enjoyed considerable success, gaining places at major drama schools/music colleges, appearing in West End shows and touring productions, including Joseph, Shrek, The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, Les Miserables and competing successfully in television talent shows such as ‘Over The Rainbow’.
